Matt currently coaches the boys 2012 and 2013 boys blue teams at Impact. He will serve as a director for the boys program. Matt also assists the UCSD men's soccer program.
Matt is a native of Southampton, England where he began coaching for the local professional team Southampton F.C. Moving across the pond in 2005 Matt completed his Master's degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Advanced Level Coaching from Springfield College whilst serving as an assistant coach later enjoying a successful season at Amherst College. Matt was named the head coach at Knox College in Illinois in 2012 and in 2014 led the program to its first conference championship since 1988. Continuing his journey west, Matt led the CMS program from 2015-2019 culminating in a back to back SCIAC championships and a run to the NCAA sweet 16.
Matt has completed his UEFA B license, NSCAA national, advanced national and premier diploma along with his USSF C license. He recently completed the TOVO license and will be serving as a trainer for the Positive Coaching Alliance.
