BU9 White grab second place in the Rady Charity Cup in San Diego on June 19th and 20th, taking home their first tournament hardware.  The team, coached by Matt Gorham, played out of group for the first time by winning their bracket.  The defense was outstanding, with Olson, Schroeder, Lenz, Turken and Brown helping goalies Cervany and Molina record four shutouts.  Striker Blacher, with aid from mid-fielder Wintringer, caught fire in the tournament, scoring two game winning goals against West Coast F.C. United and San Elijo Matrix.  In game three, Schroeder converted on a penalty, giving Impact a 1-0 victory against the Crusaders.  The semi-final game saw Impact and Encintas Express battle to a 0-0 tie, resulting in penalty kicks.  Cervany in goal, set the tone for Impact, by making a finger-tip save on the first penalty by Express.  Fraher, Cervany and Ace then found the back of the net for Impact, resulting in Impact going 3-0 on penalties and sending them to the finals.  Impact played FC Heat for the Cup and kept it close, but eventually fell 3-1.  However, Coy, on a neat piece of work, converted a Lenz richotet off the top post and scored the only goal given up by FC Heat in the entire tournament.
