The Temecula Valley Shootout was the last tournament for the Boys U8 team this year. The boys and coach (and parents) are thrilled that the team came home the champions. They faced 3 tough matches to reach the finals, beating Ladera Ranch (5:4), Hawks (7:1), and Arsenal (4:0).
The championship game was against a tough team we met during Presidio Cup, Carlsbad Lightening. It was a very physical match from start to finish, but our boys held on to win 4:2.
Each and every player gave their all in every game, and it was a joy to see things come together and win a championship for themselves, and their coach. I'll post photos tonight on the flickr site , and I'll also update a few videos when I get the time as well.
Congrats to the BU8 Team and Coach Rick. Thanks for a fantastic year. We'll see you all at tryouts in Feb!
